Ngepi camp on the Kavango river in the far north east of Namibia is a magical remote destination in the Okavango swamps. It is a paradise of flooded plains and secret swampy backwaters, teaming with wildlife, as we are nestled between Mahangu National park, a few km’s to the south, and Bwabwata National Park directly opposite across the river.
Outstanding tree house accommodation as well as fantastic tree and grassed camp sites on the river provide you with the best value for money option in the Okavango.
“We have many activities for the whole family and it’s a fun place to just relax for your holiday,” says Mike Adcock of Ngepi.
Ngepi camp was awarded the 2006 and 2007 Getaway magazine award as voted for by readers.
It has great food and a welcoming bar to share your bush stories with other interesting travellers.
Many activities like Mokoro trips, boat cruises, bird and village walks, game drives, funky ablutions, unique ‘floating swimming’ pool in the river and river rafting.
“We are very environmentally conscious and live by the ‘leave only your footprint’ ethos. Completely off the electricity grid, and recycle everything we generate. Soon we will have ‘tame’ animals that the guest can interact with and enjoy.”
